I have long been captivated by learning ways to experience the highest, best potential of the human body. It began when my relationship with running turned from one of "reluctant obligation" to "love-hate" to "can't-live-without."
In my drive to continually reach the next level, I began to discover that the path to improvement was paved with more than just physical training. I learned that fueling and recovery were optimized through what I was eating, and that translated into my range of performance.
I was convinced early on that sugary, refined high-carb foods like pasta and breads were staples of an endurance athlete's diet and the only way ensure high levels of energy. I was oblivious to the fact that I could instead draw from a better, larger power source. I also thought that energy dips, persistent body aches, soreness and injuries were just part of leading an active life.
So when I was first introduced to WILDFIT, I was skeptical. Nonetheless, as one always curious about tips, tricks, and hacks to enhance my athletic abilities, I decided to give it a try.
And I am so grateful I did.
Turns out, WILDFIT is NOT about quick fixes nor unsustainable, short-lived results. Instead, it kindled a total paradigm shift in my world of food. I now feel armed against mainstream food myths, marketing and skewed messaging.
My energy has soared, my digestion issues have quelled, and I can train healthy and injury-free. I understand my hungers and cravings, and therefore wield power in my food choices. I'm no longer tied to lunch bag with fears of hanger pains and headaches!
I also know how to give myself compassion and embrace that we are human; continual learning is part of our dance with life. I was given the gift of FOOD FREEDOM.
I also love painting, hiking, fishing, baseball games and gathering around the dinner table with family. I enjoy running outdoors in nature - scenic and serene trails are my favorite! Our veterans hold a special place in my heart, so I've recently began to run 5ks to raise funds for various charities that support their well-being and return to the workforce.
We just recently adopted the cutest little Australian cattle dog, Marlo. As a rescue, she isn't quite ready for it just yet, but I look forward to hitting the trails with her!
Running is such a beautiful metaphor life. It's truly a marathon! And the most optimal way to take on each day and mile is with a mindset, spirit and body aligned with your natural design.
then WILDFIT is for you.
